Planning a resilient urban future
The Kribi City Action Plan project is an effort to shape the city’s growth into a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future. Building on Kribi’s unique identity as a coastal and port city, the initiative seeks to guide urban expansion, infrastructure investment, and environmental stewardship over the next two decades. The project brings together governance, mobility, housing, basic services, energy, tourism, and ecological protection into an integrated framework that addresses the rapid transformations facing Kribi. By aligning sectoral strategies with resilience principles, the vision is to ensure that Kribi becomes a thriving regional hub while safeguarding its ecosystems and improving the quality of life for all residents.
Our team played a central role in facilitating this process, combining technical expertise with participatory planning. We are responsible for analyzing existing plans, identifying gaps, and developing comprehensive intervention strategies that address governance, infrastructure, climate resilience, and community needs. In parallel, we design and facilitate inclusive workshops that bring together local government, technical agencies, civil society, and community members to co-create the city’s long-term vision. By integrating stakeholder voices with evidence-based planning, our work ensures that the strategy is not only technically sound but also socially legitimate and broadly owned.
